Car got keyed on Halloween
I have worked my ass off to pay for this car and maintain it since i got her last year, I have been so happy that i have been able to keep it in showroom condition since i bought it new with only 5 miles.
Now some disgruntled low life decides to key my car for absolutely no reason, Worst of all it happened right in my driveway as the damage was not there when i parked the car, I don't understand what goes through peoples mind when they do this, I just don't understand it. The damage is on the driver side door and also on the bumper, Tomorrow i am going to a nearby bodyshop to get a quote, This is probably going to come out of pocket as my comprehensive deductible is $1000. If the repair is anything over $500 then i am going to have to wait a couple of months as i simply cant afford it right now. Sorry to hear that. Hope everything works out for you. Your story brings back the horrible memory of walking up to my car after coming out of Best Buy and being greeted by a bunch of yolk and eggshells last Halloween.

Sorry to hear it. I was feeling bad because mine is already in the garage under a cover for the winter, but hearing y'all's Halloween horrors make me feel less guilty about not driving it/having it out.

Your images are broken so I can't see them. Is it possible that it wasn't someone keying it but a trick or treater scraping up against it with something without noticing? Really sorry about that

First thing to do is call your insurance company and change your deductibles to $250/$500 and save yourself the headache if there is a next time.

People do suck. I believe in Karma and I have to believe what comes around go around. People are weak and envious of other peoples nice things. This same thing happened to my 2000 Trans Am. It really upset me. I'm to a point where if someone just jokes about scratching my car, I pull a gun on them. Kidding but I want too.

That really sucks. The good news is that it doesn't look super thick. I would try some swirl X or heavy duty scratch remover first. It has done wonders for me in the past on decent sized scratches.

They look like you “may” be able to buff them out . If you’re not sure, seek the help / opinion of a reputable detailer.

Or even lower. I keep $1000 collision but $100 comp. I'm not turning in a collision claim for anything less than $1000 but I'll definitely turn in a comp claim for a few hundred bucks.

Um, no. That was intentional. It's obviously a key job.
