Running water sound coming from dash

I've noticed this from day one, and it's truly only audible at idle, but when the A/C is on it sounds like the trickle/flow of water through a pipe behind my dash, and the sound disappears when the A/C is turned off. Also the other day as I shut my car off a different sound of water going down a drain occurred. Does anybody else's sound like this and it could just be normal operation of the A/C?

I haven't heard this in any cars I've owned in the past, and when I had my car at the dealer for a different issue the mechanic told me that this was an acceptable "break in noise" by GM standards and it could just be air pushing through the system.

I get the same kind of water gurgling noise in my 2011 Nissan Frontier. It may indeed be normal, but hopefully some other Camaro owners will chime in.

That was on the 5th gens to, but at the time was discovers to be a pinched drain line for the water, there was a fix for it at the dealers.

I've had this in my 15 Colorado, 17 Silverado, not yet in the 18 Camaro. What the consensus is over on GM-trucks.com, theres a GM service bulletin that calls it "normal" and the cause is air in the heater core. In the trucks the heater core it at a higher elevation than the radiator, which makes air getting trapped in the top of the heater core bends common. A fix is to park the vehicle where the front it elevated on a hill or on ramps. Turn the heat on full and let the car idle and fill the radiator as air purges out.

Now on the Camaro, im not sure but it seems like its likely.

I get this after using the AC on a warmer day. it sounds like the refrigerant flowing to me.

Is the AC drain is clogged you will get water mist coming out of your vents and wet carpets.
