Orders have been open since April or May. Production start was delayed by the pandemic and is scheduled to start next week. I would expect cars to start showing up at dealerships late this year.

Barra hates combustion, she likes quiet Politically Correct electric batteries that will go in landfills when unchargeable.

Yeh...she rather pollute the earth instead of the air.

I just ordered my 2021 2SS last week, estimated sometime in late September or early October. It's been posted that 2021's are to begin production August 6th, supposedly. Dealers will probably see them come late August, early September.

If you can order them, then why don't they let you do a build & price on the GM site yet? Seems kind of foolish they'll let you order it through a dealer but not build & price on the site.

For 2020, it was about 3 months after you could order one before GM decided to let you build one on Chevy.com...

Yesterday, my dealer said I could expect a 2021 Camaro 4-6 weeks from start of production on August 6 - plus another 2 weeks or so just because the world is so screwed up. (He usually has more than a thousand vehicles on his lot, but has been stuck at 200 for months.) The supply chain for GM vehicles has been horrible for the last 6-8 months, and none of the plants that have restarted are running anywhere near normal output - even at two shifts per day. We’ll see.

building the few thousand camaro's sold per year is probably not high on their priority list.

Only about 4000 camaros are sold per month on average and there's over 3000 chevy dealers in the US. So even when production is up and going, I wouldn't expect to see many camaros on the lots.

I would fully expect to see the car cancelled in 22-23. Maybe come back as a cuv like mitsu did with the lancer. Dodge charger is too attractive to the market to leave any room in it left over from mustang. Chevy is too divided in it's performance vision with corvette to treat the camaro like how Ford treats the mustang.

This makes me want to buy a Lexus RC F.

No way am I buying a Dodge or Mustang for my new car.

If they do go all-electric camaros in the future, I hope the electric fake audio sounds similar to the V8s.
