Viper Motor In a 6th Gen?
Has anyone ever attempted a v10 viper motor swap? Would this ever be something feasible? I think this motor inside of a 6th gen ss 1le would be one hell of a ride on the track. I know the lt4 is comparable in performance to the v10 but, the v10 has some really cool character to it.
I'm not sure if the motor would even fit inside or how one would get everything to work electronically, but this would be an incredible build. I think this would be a lot better than the LT6 motor everyone thought would be coming in a 6th gen Camaro. To me, that motor isn't very fitting for the Camaro platform. Just a cool idea I thought of today as I've been getting very interested in that motor lately. I'd love to have a H/C v10 chopping in my 6th gen. What do you guys think? |

i think it is physically too large for its own good. and even if it fit, the hailed balance and cornering ability of the alpha chassis would be compromised.

I would swap in an LS7 before throwing a viper motor in my car.

I would rather have torque than horsepower and there’s no torque in the toilet

I guess my question would be...why.
The viper v10 is an impressive motor, don't get me wrong, but for the cost of trying to make that engine fit, you could do ALOT to LSx or LTx |

The weight in front of the front axle would kill the chassis. To make it right the car would no longer be a Camaro as we know it. Anything is possible with enough drive and $$$.

A Viper V10 would most likely destroy what makes an SS 1LE great....a great balance of everything. Chassis, braking, power, precision, etc. The LS7 would be heaven in an SS 1LE.

Tons of money and headaches to make that work, just for most Chevy guys to hate you lol. I personally don't care for cross-brand swaps regardless of the make.
