JANNETTY RACING HEADER TEST 1 3/4 VS 1 7/8

American Racing headers provided Headers for testing, Thank you ARH.

There was some talk about the 1 3/4 headers were better than the 1 7/8 on this new LT-1 engine.

So I decided to put it to the test.

This test was done with the full ARH 3 inch exhaust system installed.

header change only back to back.

Multiple runs were made with both headers and best against best are compared in this graph.

The results are here.

All though the 1 3/4 Headers Matched peak torque of the 1 7/8 at 455 RWTQ they fell short by 8 RWTQ in the low end and fell short by 8 RWHP on the top end.

Any questions ask away.

Ted.

Weird that the 1 3/4 lost up top and down low.
Both graphs in the same color is not easy to read. Lots of labor went into the test and thanx for the info!

None.

ARH knocked it out of the park with excellent fit and finish.

Thanks for this test!

So I assume this also included a tune or some other mods? I didn't think headers alone were adding 30 - 40 HP/TQ.
