The DSX pump runs in parallel with the stock system. It has a MAP base controller that turns the pump on at a preset boost level. I had mine made for 1 PSI vs 5 or 6 PSI. So off or low boost you are on the stock pump. David with DSX will work with you and your setup. Also go to the red gm performance MAP.

I think most people will get away with stock SS pump and the DSX, but in my case and I have heard this before, my early production SS had a pretty weak stock pump.

I am erroring on the side of caution for sure but till I see a solid 70 PSI on E85 low side, I'm not going to a smaller pulley.

Heck since I can't hook to the ground 1st and 2nd maybe I'll never go to a smaller pulley...

I have a 2016 as well but not sure when it was built, maybe I can find out somewhere.

How much power are you making on E85 and the DSX and LT4 system? I want to be between 700 and 750 until I can forge the bottom end.

You can hit those power numbers with a LT4 in-tank and JMS BAP. It's been done several times and documented.

Some find it easier to just add a aux pump and not mess with dropping the tank. But I would start with a good in-tank setup first then add a aux later if need be.

I am running 8-9psi and on full E85 my low side doesn't even flinch with the ZL1 and JMS BAP. My high side is on edge...have to lower E content if I want to raise boost.

I don't know how much HP, my original setup was designed for 707 WHP. I'm now on a D1X with a 4.5 pulley 7 PSI. I would assume I'm at 650 to 700 WHP. I have NOT run E85.... with the new ZL1 pump. My car is having drivetrain upgrades...

When the ride is back on the road.... I can finish the tune on E85 with the 4.5 pulley.
I have a 4.5 pulley 7 PSI on a full built engine
I have a 4.0 pulley about 10 to 11 PSI on full built engine
I have a 3.85 pulley about 14 to 16 PSI on full built engine, closing on peak impeller speed depending on cam in the engine say 6800 RPM... calculations posted before... going from memory. It maybe a 3.75 pulley I'm not at home...

I tossed around both: aux pump vs Zl1+ BaP. I decided that IF I ever went crazy, the aux pump would give me enough headroom. I like overbuilding everything. Since the D1X is rated for 1000 engine HP (870 WHP), I decided that the low side fuel system should support that too pm E85.

If the DSX auxiliary with the LT4 hpfp and injectors will get me to 700 to 750 I'll be happy with that for awhile. When I forge the bottom end I'll go either with port injection or the Lingenfelter hpfp and big injectors.

We routinely make 750 RWHP on LT4 fuel system low side pump JMS voltage booster on E-60 fuel.

That was my path. I was thinking of a constant flow port injection or batch fire, I do have a MSD intake. I finally just went to the big injectors, as this was a daily driver and the simpler the better. I would note you will get more HP with 8 point meth vs E85 direct inject. It is because meth has MORE max rich HP room... functions more like a steam engine at that point....

Ok thanks. I'm just worried about the 700-750 number right now and if I can get there with what I'm buying I'll be ok for awhile and then can research the rest. Bigger direct injection injectors and port injection are similarly prices so I'm open to any path.

Ted.
Does this setup also have an aftermarket camshaft with a larger fuel lobe?

Yes our Rough or smooth Idle blower cam package with 32% lobe.

Sorry I forgot to mention that.

Wow, your D1x is moving for sure. I am on a D1SC with a 4.25 and only making 9psi. Gonna check the dyno hopefully tomorrow since Ted went thru my tune for me. Hoping to be in the 625-675 hp range.

I wonder what the D1x would do for my setup now.
