Location of PDR on 1LE?

Hey my brother Camaro owners....
Looking for a hug right now.. lmao
Ok,, where is the PDR recording unit located in the 18 1LE?
Not the Camera...
The unit in my car that does the recording.
I believe I'm going to need to change it out.
She's been F up since the day I rode her home from the dealer.
If it involves taking half of my car apart, I'll just leave it alone.
$1500.00 out the window.
The video recordings are F up.

Thank you!

Why don't you take it to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty?

I may end up going back to the dealer.
I've had the car for 18 months.
Just over 1K miles on the Odometer.
She's a Sunday morning driver for this 60 year old
I don't have the sharpest dealer around.
The day I was closing, the sales person and parts department person didn't even know the hood was a vinyl wrap.
They thought it was paint.
Did I mention that I'm 60 years old and I had to school these folks? Lol, No wonder they needed a taxpayer bailout.
I'm only asking where the PDR is located in the car.
I know that the camera is up about in the RV.
I'm asking if anyone here knows exactly where the recording unit is located.
If the tech is going to have to pull out my entire dashboard, I'll just live with a shitty PDR unit.

What are the issues you are having with your PDR?

Great,, Thank you JeromeS13!

DeadSpider
Here is one of the video's I recorded with the PDR.
The orange blob on the screen is shown in every video.
I cleaned the camera lens with lens cleaner specific for firearm scope lenses.
Recorded on a different SD card.
No change.
Same blob is shown on all of the videos.
I'm trying to figure out if changing out the PDR is a 15 minute swap.
If not, I'll live with this. It would be stupid to disassemble half of the car to swap out the PDR.

It almost looks like a reflection of a light... Do you have a dash cam installed or anything on your dash area?

Nothing on the dash... I do have a Valentine1 fixed to the windshield just above the dash.

Thanks for posting the screenshot JeromeS13.
Would any of you folks worry about this or should I just let it go?
I'm not anxious for half of my car being torn apart.
I hate taking my vehicles to the dealer, plus, the dealer that I purchased from doesn't seem the most knowledgeable about anything other than just selling cars.

I would recommend removing your V1 make 2 recordings (day & night) and see if the blob persists. I would bet that it's a small led on the V1 reflecting on the windshield just under the PDR camera.

Thanks!
I will try this when I take her out in the spring.
I've only taken her out at night. Only twice during the sunlight.
It's a lot safer blasting around after midnight than during the day.
You only have the Radar Cops hiding out on the side of the road to deal with.
That'll suck if the V1 is the culprit, though, it sucks much less than having to bring her to the dealer where they rape the car to install a new PDR recorder.
I purchased a crazy high priced machined aluminum mirror mount for the V1 just before I put her away last fall. I was planning on installing it this spring.

If I'm right you could just put a piece of tape over the LED.
