Packaging and complexity are two major areas where a OHV motor is better.

200 lbs lighter, but I don't think they specifically said the GT/V8 is 200 lbs lighter. I've seen this happen before, when car manufacturers say their car is X lbs lighter, when in actuality it is the base model. If their V8 is 200 lbs lighter than the current V8 AND they added IRS, that is damn impressive!

As for the looks, I think it looks OK. But like someone else said in this thread, it isn't as revolutionary / stunning as the 5th gen. IMO.

That is a ridiculous statement. Pushrod engines are the simplest design, offer a significant amount more displacement when comparing physical size, weigh less, and straight up destroys a DOHC engine in torque. Not to forget that OHV engines make more hp AND tq at lower RPMs and carry that hp and tq far longer. You like DOHC engines? Where is your DOHC engine's peak hp/tq at? Like from 6,500-7,500 RPMs? OHV represents true American V8 muscle. Leave those tiny high winding engines to those short 135lb skinny-pants wearing Civic drivers with baseball caps on backwards. Ford sold out. And they can barely keep up. On engine alone, we would destroy them. It wouldn't even be a contest. You'll see. At the same weight and with the same gearing, the larger displacement OHV engine will straight up walk a DOHC engine all day every day.

And for the record, DOHC engines have been around for almost the same amount of time as pushrod engines. In fact, they may actually have been around for the exact same amount of time. Just because everyone is using it these days does not make it new. They been around. The only time a DOHC engine is superior is when you are limited in displacement...like the V6. The DOHC loses steam once you get into larger displacement. Which is why despite all the compression and stroke they still barely make any torque.

double fail. The current gen Mustang and Camaros are 2+2. The current Z is a 2 seater only.

That's the rumor. Before the end of the 2015 run the standard 5.0 will get bigger power. I don't believe the 500 hp number either, but north of Boss 302 is not hard for that engine, just up the redline along with a few other changes. so maybe 475 to beat the upcoming 6th gen LT1.

The rumor is before the end of the '15 run. Just like 500 hp that sounds a little fishy. Maybe for the '16 enough to match/beat the new Camaro. It is dead easy to get more hp out of the 5.0.

It's not too bad. But I'm pretty underwhelmed by this.

Maybe it's the pictures but the rear quarter panels look too fat and does not match the rest of the cars side view.

2+2 refers to cars with really only 2 seats with 2 smaller seats (child or midget seats) in the back. Haven't looked at the current Z cars, but older versions came with a 2+2 option. The same car (shape and size) with small rear seats: Infiniti G coupes. The current Mustang and Camaro are 4 seats coupe.
