2300 Maggie makes 703 and goes 10.03@138

I think the Magnuson 2300 has some pretty stellar numbers for those who wonder how it performs. A couple months ago I posted 703 rwhp and figured I could get into the low 10s or possibly break into the 9s. I was so close but there is still more in the package. Yes I'm pushing the envelope as others have done. I run as stock engine, 2300 Maggie, Vp 109 with an AEM Meth/water kit, 75mm pulley. Stock suspension and exhaust, added a RPM Roll Bar which is 30 lbs more the my last years stock set up. I run a stock tranny, stock converter, stock tranny tune plus I have a light weight drag pack Hoosier Slicks/Skinnies and Race Star wheels. I do have the Lingenfelter Big Bore Pump and Lt4 injectors. If I hadn't spun the tires pretty badly on my first pass on Saturday I think I'd been mid 9.90s but ended up with a 10.03@138 which is in my opinion just wicked. You guys have watched my progress and I owe a lot of my great numbers to Mike from Magnuson who tunes the car and I'm pretty sure we will make our 9 second pass this coming weekend. If for some reason I don't I'll still be kinda happy with a 10.03. Na I won't be so I'll keep pushing till it happens.

Fantastic.

It's been informative and good reading following you along on your build.
Keep it up. I want to see that 9.90ish...

Back in the 80's it took a killer stroker small block on alcohol, 2550 lb car and I was 30 lbs lighter also to run 9's and I was proud of that build and I've practically done that with a 3900 lb car with me in it with nice interior, can drive it on the street and get 25 mpg on the highway. My Nova was a true drag car you couldn't drive on the street, no AC, no electric windows, rattled like a Mofo from the aluminum interior and only shifted once (powerglide) and this one shifts 5 times. What a long way we've come and I raced some of those same cars at the track, actually I was the only car in Superpro/Pro over 3500 lbs. Most were in the 2200 to 3000 lbs. So, these are pretty cool cars with the right stuff under the hood. I like the new stuff and the old stuff but I wouldn't have it any other way and I can't wait till I get my hands on the 2650 one of these days knowing this 2300 will put down 1000 hp if I choose to take that plunge. Pretty cool I'd say so Magnuson has their stuff together and glad to be a part of Team Magnuson. Lots of competition for sure but most take lots of mods to get there.

You guys had cars way back in the 80's. LOL.

Great work man. We all know you will grind out a 9 one way or the other.

Thanks, I think I should see close to 140 this weekend. Hopefully, temps are only gonna be 61 so my first run should be in the mid 50s
