Finally got my wheels installed, BC Forged

They are 18x12 on the rear and 19x10 on the front. Tires are 345/35-18 toyo RR and 285/35-19 Michelins. The wheels are bronze centers and black lips. The rears poke a little more than I would probably like best but a little narrower tire could fix alot of that. Overall I am very happy with them.

Those are some big steam rollers. How do they ride? I suspect hooking up is much easier. Only thing I wonder about going wider is if it'll throw off the balance of the vehicle and throw off the ride. Looks mean, nonetheless.

The little bit of driving I have done, it felt good. No real difference in it. I am in DFW also and its been a little chilly so I did not try any hard pulls.

The rear offset is +41 and fronts are +17. So far so good on clearance. Just got them on yesterday and have not done much driving. Maybe 10 miles.

That looks nice! Can you take another one directly behind the car and low to the ground? That view is always nice with some fatties on the back.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you go with the Toyo RR DOT slicks on the back?

If you plan to road race them then you picked a great tire, and I may be wrong but I assume you're planning to do some drag racing. RR is a road racing slick designed to get up to temp after 1-2 full laps. Prior to that, on cool/cold TX days they'll have no safe traction on the street--even my 345/30/19 PSC2s are like this here in Los Angeles after summer heat, no grip unless you really work them.

Drag tires don't require as much warm up as far as I know, just a burnout in the start area. Even Toyo R888R are softer than most DOT slicks when cooler which is why the stoplight racers like them.

There was a couple reasons. The main reason was that pretty much no other 27" to 28" drag radial was in stock anywhere in the US. After talking to several people, they said it would work. I also know several other cars who make alot more power than I do run them. I just recently bought this car. I have not been to a track in a long time. I mostly just play around from a roll. I might take this car to the track a little though.
