For those of you in Georgia, any recommendations regarding dealerships in the Atlanta-area for this and maintenance? I live northeast of ATL....any location between Gwinnett County and Athens would work.

I'm way down south (2-1/2 hours) from Hotlanta, Mit. Sorry... can't help you.

Man, I just don't see that being the issue, assuming the wind diffuser is functioning properly. And I wouldn't call those "dimples"... those are significant "dents". See -

Any chance to get some bigger pics? I've seen something very similar happen to a much older car with a sunroof. The sunroof got stuck closed from never being used and when the guy tried opening it the motor turned and pushed the roof down until the sunroof window broke free and left dents just like that.

When it was happening we couldn't hear it causing any damage, all we heard was the pop once the window broke free.

Are we sure this is a factory sunroof and not an added after market? Do you have the build sheet or window sticker that came with the car?

I felt the same way until I read that linked thread. Apparently, this has happened to quite a few people with Camaros. The photos all look like similar damage and they all claim innocence and say they don't know how it happened. I don't know what else could cause it.

I do have the order sheet/window sticker. I don't recall that option being listed but I will check tonight.

Um, no. It's a factory sunroof without question. The entire roof skin is different on non-sunroof cars.

Have you run a Carfax report on the car? My roof had some dents around the sunroof, but they were caused by a sideswipe accident that destroyed the right rear quarter panel. The resulting torsional twisting of the body caused the roof to buckle slightly. I didn't even notice them myself, and didn't see them until the bodyshop guys pointed them out to me. I don't know how they repaired them (hadn't better have been Bondo) but looks good as new now.

I just looked at my open sunroof at a car show tonight. The edge of the sunroof lines up perfectly with the location of these dent when it's open. It looks like if someone was leaning or sitting on the sunroof these dents would happen. Someone else have a look and tell me what you think.

As already mentioned, my bet is on someone sitting on the side of the roof through the sunroof.
