Going FBO from bone stock
So I have a 2017 1SS and I'm starting to get the mod bug after not drag racing since 2008 with my H/C/N2O LS1 Camaro. I'm going to just try to install and tune all at once (hopefully). I've done a ton of searches and this is basically what I came up with. My goal is to have a relatively budget yet reliable setup to have some fun with. Let me know what yall think. Really I'd just like any input about any parts I may be missing
TSP 1 & 7/8" headers w/ off road X pipe w/ tunnel brace spacer Borla S Type axle back RotoFab dry w/ sound tube delete LT2 intake (ported?) and ported stock TB Lethal E85 kit Tune from reputable shop (I believe my best choice would be Fasterproms in Tampa) Starter heat wrap (already on my second starter) QUESTIONS: - Spark Plug heat shields? I think I'm sticking with stock wires - Between what comes in the TSP header/X kit and Borla axleback kit there should be enough piping there to get it together? Should I pick up some extra piping? - I'm going to try to use whatever exhaust clamps come with the kits and see where I stand. If I need to upgrade I've heard Virbrant are nice, any others yall suggest? -I shouldn't have to worry about fuel system with this setup, correct? I'd appreciate any input. Meanwhile I will keep on searching. Thank you. |

Very close setup to my current.... I had another camaro exact same setup but he had ported throttle body and his car made 2hp more than mine, same dyno and tuner. Not sure if it's worth the money to port the TB with that list, just my opinion. E85 will work great

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm kind of torn between going ported stock IM or unported LT2. Guys are making good power on the off the shelf LT2's. I think I saw porting is $500+ on the LT2s so I'd probably just run it like that. Going to start ordering stuff this week...and wouldn't mind going used on this stuff either so if anyone has a line on any of these parts let me know. |

Take a look at this if you haven't already - it just might help you with the starter issues. It sure fixed mine:
