[QUOTE=laynlo15;10981662]Corn prices are up this year and so is oil. I've been paying about 2.24 (yesterday E65) [/QUOTE

Wish I could get it at the pump for 2.24. I have to buy it by the 55 gal drum and its like 8.00 per gallon after you factor in shipping. There are no e85 stations here in NH.

Are you buying C85 from VP?

Couple years.

Not 100% all the time, usually a mixture. Its a DD so weekly performance is not a priority.

Florida so Temps not an issue. Don't see any negatives.

Around 2.80 by me, fwiw.

I have been running E85 for a year and a half. My fuel level sensor failed, but it may be completely unrelated. Would not trade the power gains and peace of mind that my engine is not going to detonate itself to death on 91.

I doubt that caused it but I totally agree on the basically almost free power you get with a good tune. I ran race fuel in my Camaro for 3 years and spent about 1000 to 1200 bucks a year and didn't even drive it on the street. That was all drag strip at 14.00 bucks a gallon. I just didn't have the fuel system to run E at 850 plus rwhp. Now I'm just bolt on with my new ride (C7) its a no brainer since I have E available within 12 miles of my house and when I go to the track this year I'm keeping some VP C85 around just to add some to my E85 pump fuel since we never get over about E65 in our area. So I run it down to about 1/4 tank and throw in 2.5 gallons load it on the trailer and head to the track.

Is there a preferred tune provider for E85? I've been on the fence about tuning and the powertrain warranty.

IDK in your area. Remote tuning Jannetty or Pray

Have you actually seen gains in track times or power going from E65 to anything with higher E content?

My GF has been using E85 in her Silverado 4.8 V8 since 2014. It's a flex fuel vehicle. The only rare time she does not use it is when we are on vacation and away and use 87 octane. We notice the difference in both sound and performance. It performs and sounds better on E85. It has dual exhaust- MBRP- CAT back. So, no issues at all. Fortunately there is a station only 2 miles from the house that sells E85.

I'm not using E85 at the moment, but have thought about it. has anyone here had any high pressure fuel pump issues as a result of E85? I've heard from 2 friends that have had bad experiences with them over a couple years of running E in their daily drivers. The one friend had theirs fail twice in their 2018 equinox under warranty. the dealer said that they always fail on people that run exclusively E85. after the last one was replaced they stopped running E. The other friend has a 720whp CTSV and had his fail after about 1.5years of daily driving with E. I've also talked to Speed inc in Chicago and they said the fuel system is un reliable on E85 cars. any expanded knowledge on this?

This is the 1st time I have heard of any issues related to E85 in the Gen V.

I've been running it for 3 years/30k miles with a LOT of track and AutoX time. No issues.

I just started running E85 this year. So far no complaints. The pump near me been consistent at E74-77 which is pretty good for pump gas at Mobil for 1.99. This was after 4-5 fill ups during the entire month of March. It seems Mobil the only station that carries it around here. I found a speedway that carry it but I never use Speedway gas. Next month I will test it out at the track..
