I've had some sweet 2 stage, but never owned Geissele... couldn't refuse these prices. Agreed on triggers making a difference in accuracy, with a caveat, I personally wouldn't put their super light trigger in anything but a bench rifle. Strangers with hair triggers kinda make me nervous.

Actually ended up with two Geissele's and one ALG

Their G2S is $115 for cyber monday (early start) should be great in my latest build, kind of a bench/hunt/plinking rifle, and ALG has their prepped boronwhatever ACT set for $45. that will be going in the pistol.

The best bargain in 2 stage triggers is the LaRue MBT when it is on sale for $99 (which it currently is).

Currently running:

Geissele SSA and SSA-E (SSA-E currently in my 6.5 Creed)
LaRue MBT (one in my duty rifle, another in my LMT MWS)
AR Gold (in my SBR)
Wilson Combat (currently on loan to a friend)
Factory LMT 2 stage (took it out of my LMT MWS and replaced with an MBT)

I'll have to put that on my list for fathers day... I just went trigger poor

Looks like a lot of trigger for the money!

I tend to like a light trigger in a rifle. My big game rifles are all no more than 4 pounds. My varmint guns are all 2 or a bit under.

I have a few LR steel rifles with Jewell and Timneys set at 4 or 6 OUNCES.

My .223 AI shown here is a 6 OZ Timney.

One does have to be careful with light triggers, but most of these don't get carried around loaded too much. Most times they go from the truck to the bench or mat and thats' it.

From that scope angle you're really lobbing them out there! How far are you shooting?

That looks like a nice setup nose to tail

The .223 AI with 80 gr bulets is my LR practice rifle. Cheaper to shoot than my 6.5 x 47 Lapua or it's little brother, a 6/6.5x47 Lapua.

I shoot out to 800 yds here at home. I've got plates from 200 yds out to 800. We go out to 1260 yds at the Club, north of me in Great Falls. Again, plates. Though we are just completing a 1K Range so we should be shooting F Class this upcoming summer.

The .223 AI has a 5-22X Nightforce with a 20 moa rail. The two Lapuas are built on Defiance actions, with integral 20 moa rails.

Every time I go thru MT I can't help but see potential long range sites everywhere!

I had to look up the 6/6.5x47, sounds like a lot of potential in a popular 6mm size.

Here's a shot of the 6.5 x 47 Lapua.

Defiance action with 20 MOA rail. Jewell trigger, Surgeon bottom metal, 28" HART barrel, Mc Millan glass stock.
A very specialized rig.

Careful, you might poke someones eye out! (at 300 yds)

I'm familiar with all the pieces but the action, are they local?

Bringing back up the silencer discussion. I have been looking into Silencer co at the hybrid for caliber 9mm TO .45-70GOV. I like the fact you can use one can and just change out the plates for the caliber you are using. Anyone have experience with this?

Yes. DEFIANCE is west of me....Columbia Falls. They have a web site. Basically a Rem 700 clone like Surgeon and several others.

Talk about; Straight, True and perfect! Very nice actions. There are several options as to bolt nose, bolt handle, picatinny rail, firing pin diameter, etc.

Can be had with several magazine options as well as a SS.

Sorry not Familiar. I've been using ELITE IRON and Yankee Hill Machine for rifles and have an AAC for my .45 HK Tactical.

Post a query over on the "Silencer Talk" Forums. Someone there should have some input. The danged things cost a bunch, then throw in the WAIT....A guy wants to make a good choice. A lot invested.

A few years ago I was convinced to do a custom bolt action but a deal on a .50bmg breech loader came along. Problem is, 500 yds is far as I can currently shoot and it doesn't even breathe hard. Easy 1moa all day long though.

Yeah it's no fun owning these insanely LR capable rifles, with no place to REALLY shoot them. A bit like a guy with a Ferrari who lives in NYC.

We have a zillion little ground squirrels (we call them gophers), chucks, and prairie dogs. It's a normal summer past time to hunt them. The LR rifles get some use then.

I've got an accurate .222 Rem in a Cooper single shot, the .223 AI Rem 700, a few accurate .223 AR's, a .220 Swift and a .17 hmr CZ. They all get put to good use.

Don't big game hunt anymore....Still have too many BG rifles too.
