What Do You Use To Make Your Tires Shine?

Gels or Sprays?

I've been using Black Magic Tire Wet Gel the past 2 years to make my tires really shine AND it works great. However, stuff can stick to the tire once the gel is applied, like grass, etc.... I am looking to use a different product for tire shine. Except, with so many products out there, what is the best stuff?

I might consider just using a spray where you don't have to wipe it off. Just spray and walk away.

Spray products come to mind that I would consider using:
Black Magic Tire Wet Spray
Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Spray
Armor All Extreme Tire Shine (I've heard good things about this product)

What products do you guys use for extreme tire shine and how do you apply them?

There is actually a video for the Armor all extreme tire shine product on youtube. He just sprays it onto the tire.

If you spray the applicator it would seem more spray would go onto the applicator than the tire.

But, I'm sure it looks good both ways.

Spraying tires leads to slinging , but do what you want.

Adam's Tire Shine for the win. You just spray it on for a real glossy shine or work it into the tire for a more subdued yet crisp look.

I've heard good things about Adams car care products. Just looked the Adams tire shine up. All great reviews.

I think I will give this a shot........Too bad local stores don't carry this stuff. Have to order off the website.

I use CarPro Pearl and love it! I've use Adam's in the past as well. I liked it a lot, but I like Pearl better.

I used to use gel but switched to the spray foam type. The gel was more difficult to apply, especially on textured sidewalls, and stayed wet longer which could cause more slinging.
With the spray foam, I spray it on clean dry tires and its dry in 15min or so, no slinging. However the black effect doesnt last quite as long.

Your not kidding about the gel being difficult to apply.
It gets on my hands, shoes, etc, etc....

Time to try something different..................

I use Armor All extreme tire shine spray with a foam applicator. This prevents sling and overspray and works as good as anyother I've ever tried. I used to use the foam spray and walk away but I found that product didn't stay on very long and it actually made the tires brown and dry after it washed off.

This. CarPro Pearl is the best tire shine hands down I've ever used. It's a nice understated shine that lasts a while. I can't stand the greasy, plastic look from the tire shines you get at autozone or Walmart.

This is what I use also. I use Glen's method though and spray it on a foam applicator. No sling.
