Paint Care and maintenance

What are everyone's plans for taking care of the exterior paint on your new Camaro? Wax, polish, glaze? What products do you plan to use?

I'll be using the same products I did in the thread below. I did a 2-step polish and wax on my Camaro a few months back. I'll be using the same wash method and same wax, Collinite No. 476 Doublecoat Auto Wax.

Here's the thread I created on the paint correction I did.

I am using the same as SPARTAN sui. DOes anyone know if the stripes are paint or decals? If the latter, how do you treat them? Same as paint or tape them off and use something else?

All stripes are stickers, custom paint is the only way to do stripes properly, then you don't have to worry about how to care for them.

The stripes are vinyl, that lasts 7-10 years and can be waxed like normal paint. If it's a daily driver the vinyl's fine, if the car is your baby, then you'll prob want to paint.

Here are the docs I created a few forums ago that makes detailing quick and painless. Read them in order. Most people will tell you the products they use, this tells you HOW to do it, down to the way you lay the products on.

To start for me will be:

-Paint correction
-XPEL ultimate on the front half
-C.Quartz Finest ceramic coating

For washing, I'll do my standard two bucket wash and with the ceramic coating I shouldn't even have to towel dry it at all. Using my electric leaf blower should easily dry the car.

I had a detailer use iron-x and wash the car. THen clay bar and then polish the car. Then applied Simix ceramic seal. The interior I did myself with 303 fabric seal and 303 protectant on the plastics. The 303 has a 40 proof sun blocker to it and helps the plastics stay fresh and new looking for a really long time.

Other products: Chemical guys wash and glossifier to wash car occasionally. With the sealant really just need a low pressure pressure washer and every thing comes right off.
For the tires I am going to try CarPro PERL. Same people that make CQuartz. It is a tire sealant that a lot of people are saying lasts longer. Find out this weekend.

I love carpro stuff, i used diluted PERL for a year or so, I simply have never found a tire dressing that's any better than any other tire dressing , they all seem to last about two or three weeks to me ...I've maybe tried 10. Stoners is one of the best ive used , but not much better.

Did not know Stoners made tire dressings! I love their glass cleaners.

Supposedly the trick with Perl is non diluted and you add several coats. Just what I have read on Autogeek. Either way if it does not last long not really a big deal. Just figured I would try it out and see. Thank you for your impressions though.
