Installed one of these and while spinning the pulley by hand felt slight resistance but nothing crazy. Next day decided to spin it some more by hand and started hearing some strange crackling sounds. Started getting worried a bit, after a while the sound got louder with one final loud cracking sound.

Had to pull the snout and found out the shaft broke/fractured right where it exits the snout/bearing before the isolator attachment. Pics below, total waste of money! Will be using my OEM snout

Hmmmm so it was a shaft failure … Besides that how was fit and finish?? Because the shaft failure really doesn’t bother me you could always put OEM one in its place!! Tell me this
If the shaft didnt fail you think it wouldve been worth it ??

I put a best offer bid on one, i got a decline on it and i noticed that he raised all the prices on them by $50. He must be getting a lot of interest. He even took away the best offer tab.

I'm not exactly sure as to why the shaft broke, especially with only turning the pulley by hand slowly... It could be an alignment problem, but I only felt slight resistance in a couple spots while spinning it.

I was thinking about installing the stock shaft I have, but need to purchase pulley hub and shaft removal tools($200+) and I don't have a press.
It does look nice for the money although there were some minor issues. One bypass plate screw missing and 3 isolator prongs missing (seller did end up sending them both). Evap wouldn't bolt down so had to dremel the flat edge down further where it mounts. Bypass plate wouldn't accept 2nd screw, had to enlarge holes in plate. Couldn't use 2 lower locating dowels, and still had to remove(raise) SC manifold to install snout even without middle lower bolt as it wouldn't push past valley plate+water pump.

Theres a painted black one for $342
Which isn’t really bad at all !!
Then he has some with throttle bodies
102,105 & 108 sizes
The comdo with a 108 is $522.50 shipped
I’m thinking about is very tempting

With the review dru left it’s a hard pass for me. Not worth the hassle.

I agree. I almost pulled the trigger on one of these things for the heck of it, but after seeing dru's posts on cts-v and now here, I've decided to weld up and port the crap out of my stocker. Sorry for your misfortune, dru, but thanks for the feedback to save the rest of us a lot of headaches!!
