What funnel do you use for oil changes?

Just changed my oil a few days ago, and used a two-piece flexible funnel that, of course, leaked. I've had a few other funnels I've used in the past, but none seem to be any good. Looking to see what everyone else using. (I have my oil in 5 qt jugs, so flipping it quickly and not using a funnel is not an option. Well, it is an option, just not a good one lol . . .)

Generic long one, pour slowly. Really needs a bit of a hook on end to be perfect fit.

Of course Gm makes solution for its own problem.

Have you tried it with a 5 quart jug? I actually got one of those but didn't figure it would work.

Thanks, good to know. I had figured that when I started pouring from the jug oil would be everywhere.

I like to pour with the “jug” sideways if you know what I mean. It didn’t take much discipline to keep from making a mess. Since those types of funnels attach like the oil fill cap, they promote a fair amount of stability. Here’s the link from another thread.

I'm sure there are much better options but I use the cut off top of a 2 liter soda bottle. Been using them for years. Best part is if you lose it you can get a new at any grocery store for $2😁

I feel like this needs a modification to be remotely useful.

I cut the top off a 2 liter bottle. $0.88 at walmart and includes two liters of your choice of beverage.

And they are easy to mod.

I use the green GM "OEMTOOLS" brand from Amazon. It does help but as you can see some oil gets trapped and can be a bit messy when removing the funnel.

A 1 qt Mobil 1 oil container cut diagonally makes a perfect funnel, it even rests against the shock tower and you can leave a bottle in it to let it drain while getting the next one ready.
