Feedback to AMP was that the 416 needed the MSD and 103TB and they were right about that one. The SS4 cam would make more power but would lose some drivability and the same with the TRACK ATTACK cam. The car SHIFTS AWESOME right now with the STOCK convertor so I DID NOT want to introduce a higher stall speed convertor.

I guess I could cut a hole in the hood and run a HIGH RAM manifold like most vendors do to show more HP but that's not for me LOL. I am not racing this car on the internet; I am actually running it on the track and on the street.

The plan now is to play around some with some tranny tuning and to get a CAM custom ground for this combo. I know people throw around 600 RWHP like thats easy to attain BUT I HAVE NOT seen that in person myself and I am pretty happy with the power level it is at right now.

It's not too hard to get to that number granted I went straight to a 427. Sounds good though and should be a good track car.

Well At motorsports Ranch Cresson I was hitting around 140MPH on the straight leading into a turn we call rattlesnake. To give you some perspective that is about 10MPH FASTER than what I was doing with the old combo.

The real test will be at EAGLES Canyon THIS sunday. I will be running with the CHIN TRACK DAYS group. This track has a half mile straight leading into a fairly sharp left hand turn. I think I will put on the slicks for this one. With the last combo I ran a best around 2.06 but with now a 100 more horsepower I am hoping for something in the 2.02 - 2.03 area.

What I have noticed is that because I am NA, the power curve is VERY smooth with this car which helps in NOT unsettling the car as it transitions from mid corner full throttle on to the straights.

Secondly you are challenging a statement based on what you THINK and I am telling you what myself and others KNOW to be true thru our own experience.

This is just ANOTHER example of internet bench racing where you make a statement that has NO BASIS in FACT. It quite frankly is VERY aggravating to me and others that spend ALOT of time money and effort to share information in order to help others with FACTUAL information and not CONJECTURE.

People wonder why vendors DONT share more information with us and it is because alot of times it is a waste of THEIR time .

Here is the video that GWATNEY PERFORMANCE did on stock vs LT2 vs MSD.

First your video didn’t load. Second, you stated that an MSD shows no gains on a stock/bolt on car over an lt2 and you were wrong(GPI’s testing shows 3hp difference stock for stock). I’m far from an “internet bench racer”. I myself put these cars together/do builds for people. The only test GPI has done showed that an MSD out of the box did not have any gain over PORTED LT2 manifold. The MSD out of the box still carried the power better unported, than the ported LT2 did. A ported MSD will show a decent gain over a ported lt2 and that’s been proven by Pray, GPI, and etc

So I proved you wrong with I’m assuming the video you posted, Because there’s only one video from GPI doing a test like that and it shows/Ryan even says the numbers from each intake manifold. 455 untouched lt2, 458 untouched msd, that looks like a gain to me and knowing that each dyno reads different that means the gain could be more on another dyno. Now port both, and that msd is going to show a decent gain. Now you want to call me stupid when you have a 416 that doesn’t make 600rw, when a 416 with 14:1 should clear 600 all day as long as long as the cam is spec’d for the 416. That 416 makes that NFC look/act small, it “eats” up the duration and causes the cam to act even more mild than it already is.

NEVER MIND

Bottom line is nobody gives a shit about what either of us THINKS, there is much more value in posting what we KNOW.
