ZL1 Front Pads on Amazon ~$200 Again

Just FYI, the front pads price dropped from $250 back to $200 again. [$192]

I'd never buy those. You are much better off with the Z26 power stop pads. They are a fraction of the price and offer similar performance and no brake dust.

This is in the Road Course/Track and Autocross forum. Z26 isn't recommended for the track.

That link goes to the SS 1LE pads 171-1040.

ZL1 front pads are 171-1192 and are even cheaper

Still on my factory ZL1 1LE front pads so forgive my dumb question but was there any part number difference between normal ZL1 front pads and ZL1 1LE front pads?

AFAIK that's a 'No". The only difference between the ZL1 and ZLE is the red powder coating of the calipers. I do not believe there was any compound difference (part number difference) in the pad. Nevertheless the fitment of pads are the same between ZL1/ZLE.

As somebody who ran Powerstop Z26 on track twice, they're very bad for tracking: they overheat and fade way too fast, as well as wear out too quickly.
And I ran them on stock V6 single-piston brakes, I imagine the difference on more powerful and heavier ZL1 will be more pronounced.
