Anyone getting compliments or negative remarks on your cars? - Page 45

Son and I run errands in small towns on the NE MS/NW AL line. Last week we were in my wife's Equinox at drug store drivethru and college age female employee said I saw y'all in that pretty car yesterday. At hardware in AL yesterday and pre-teen boy runs across the parking lot to tell us what a cool car it was. This afternoon stopped at elderly neighbor's driveway and he couldn't believe my son has had it four years from new and still hasn't hit 20K. he loves the Garnet Red Tintcoat and so do we!

What I've gotten, in the first five months of ownership, are hit & run parking lot dings at two different corners of the car, and being savagely, savagely tailgated for the crime of "only" going 46 in a residential 40 MPH zone. Over, and over, and over.

"Flame On" in just a moment I'm sure, although this mostly-enthusiast readership is unlikely to be among the offenders I am about to name. I'm a Class A commercial driver who has driven in every state except Hawaii, and while even this "evidence" can be said to be circumstantial, at least I'm not just making it up, because I've been all over and I've seen it all: the drivers here in eastern TN are, as a group, the worst I have ever encountered, and my experiences out on the road -- and in the parking lots -- demonstrate such.

I park ridiculously far from other cars, my family hates it. I don’t care.
Here we have a few insane brodozers and others that refuse to use turning signals. Oh well.

I got one yesterday while under an overpass with the exhaust echo'ing when a mom in a SUV opened her window and told me my ride was 'b-tchin'. The made me laugh.

Got another one at a family reunion Saturday. 64 year old cousin from Collierville, TN, asked if my son's 2017 RS was new and how sharp it was. An owner of two vettes noted how sharp it was while we were getting gas, but asked what it was and didn't know Camaros were still being built (barely as we know). GM has really dropped the ball with no advertisement and little production. Trying to go all ev will be a disaster.

I'm surprised at how many compliments I get in this car but I think a lot might have to do with the sound of the cam.
