Seems that there is more action in the truck arena than anywhere else in the automotive market.
There is also increased competition in the truck market, even Tahoe. Little did they think that the likes of Nissan Armada, the Infinity counterpart and even Hyundai are cutting into Tahoe's action.

Nissan sold 4130 Armadas, and despite its sales being up close to 500%, that's not hard to accomplish when you only sold 700 or so units this time last year. GM sold 9,664 Escalades last quarter, Nissan sold 2898 QX80s. And Escalade's ATP hovers around the 6 figure mark. There's an undisputed dominant leader in the full size SUV/luxury SUV segments.

The Suburbans, Escalades, Tahoes, etc. will also have to compete with the Hummer EV SUVs in a few years. The pricing seems somewhat similar so far.

It makes it all the more frustrating on what has happened to the Camaro. I look at the refreshed trucks and the new large SUVS and think " well damn what could they do with the Camaro?" I get the 2 seat car market is shrinking fast, and the move to EV is looking quickly. But surely there is a market for any all new Camaro? |
