Speaking of wives' tales, I believe the car is probably quicker with nannies on.

There's nothing about the 1LE that makes it a good drag car. Sure you can overcome the super stiff suspension and aero to some degree but you won't find anyone with a fast drag car with super stiff suspension, it is not productive to weight transfer when launching. Its just physics. Show me a 1LE at the top of the quickest 6th Gen ZL1 drag times. Have you seen a Dodge Demon? They didn't get the world's quickest 0-60 record from making the suspension stiffer than a standard Hellcat, nope, they made it softer. Its fine if you like the 1LE for aesthetic reasons, but just don't make up a narrative that the 1LE is just as good as the standard ZL1 for drag racing, because its not.

How is the ZL1 better for ET racing?

Why do we constantly go round and round with this?
I had a 19 ZLE when I tracked my cars. I now have a regular 22 ZL1 because I don’t track anymore and absolutely love it for the street and long weekend cruises. It’s an awesome GT car. Get a ZLE if you track, like the look or think it is the “top dog” Camaro. But I completely disagree with the ones that say they ride even remotely similarly on the street. Because they don’t, especially if you live in area like I do with shitty roads broken up from harsh winters and hot summers. Tires don’t mean shit for the ride either. I had a set of PSSs for my ZLE and it still road horribly on broken pavement. |

What does braking and ET drag racing have in common? Nothing. I don't see top fuel dragsters or pro stock cats braking hard at the line. ET racers don't race at the end. ET racers race at what they are existed to do. ET racing helps a STi race a ZL1 and cross the line roughly at the same time. Right? |

Correct. This IS a total wives tale. I've went 11.2@124 and my best 60' is 1.69. Car is totally stock other than Toyo R888R's. |

Sorry, but thats just plain out not true. I run with and beat stock non 1LE ZL1's at gateway on the regular. Any effect the 1LE suspension has on 1/4 mile times, IF ANY, is very negligible. |

The 1LE will be much worse with even more power from a dig. The suspension doesn't allow the car to shift weight and sag to hook. Z06 is right its physics. Your not going to find a 1LE with the same power beating a normal ZL1, and if you do its because the driver sucks
