First time out with this setup and only had a couple hours. Even on the current pulley’s, there is more room left in shift points. DA was over 2300 as well.

Went through the traps with a brisk 87 degree MAT temp with it being 88 degrees outside.
Come on. Give us the details of your build.

It’s a pretty straightforward build. It’s a 427ci Noonan LT, built 10L90, Magnuson 2650R and all the supporting mods for fuel and driveline running on 100% Ignite Red. Still has stock mag ride and differential.

Congratulations! Extremely impressive 60', ET and mph. I wish I could have snagged one of these blowers when they were still reasonably priced. Should do 170+ mph with a better DA.

I appreciate it. The 60’ is where it needs the most work. It was doing 1.20 on the last engine but this new one is weaker down low due to a larger cam. We’ll get back there, just need more time on the combo. Definitely 170 as it sits and maybe 173+ in good air with my more aggressive pulley/intake setup. 7’s is the goal obviously.

They are damn good blowers. As you can imagine, I beat the hell out of it, and it has been flawless.

That smaller pulley will help those 60' short times. I think you'll be knocking on that door in good air.

Yep. We have a couple ideas to get the 60’ back down. That is often one of the more challenging things to dial in. I just looked up the water grains and they were 151 that night. Lol

Great info @ZL1Atlanta. Thanks for sharing! I was really wondering who I would have build my transmission. My brother had Tim King build the 8L90 in his Z06 and was wildly unimpressed. Good to know there is another option (and apparently a good one, based on your times!).

I'll take your humidity if you take my 9000 DA

At least all cars at the same track on the same day run in the same conditions. Just don’t go there to set times and compare them to other people around the country. Lol

Correction factors and experience help us with comparisons, and they're sizable.

All of this should be fun, or we should get a new hobby.

At the end of the day, nothing happens until it actually happens. Correction factors are good for making assumptions that if all variables would remain the same (the ones that aren’t air) the same car would run X somewhere else, but that car still needs to go do it for it to matter.

Awesome passes - well deserved with your persistence and dedication to the car! Looking forward to your next outing, but I have a feeling the real magic isn't going to happen until fall...
