Do you have 12V between the starter/cable connection and ground?

I would check for 12V+ at solenoid or control wire before taking starter out. Should energize light up when pressing start.. if all else is OK.

alright so car is fixed and starts no problem now.

very embarrassing fix but ill let everyone know in case they run into same issue.

make sure the plug on the starter is 100% on and not even a little loose or you will have a week of troubleshooting like i did lol sucks cause when this first started happening I messed with that connector and thought it was secure, it wasn't.

thank you everyone for your help and input, it helped me keep sane during all this
