Rear toe links inner frame mount width?

If you have stock ones off the car - width at inner most connection point.

The section the bolts goes through the rear subframe - what is that thickness. While I was under car, I estimated it was about 46mm.

Hoping it's closer to 50mm so I can used some sealed ball joints to make adjustable toe links and do away with those pesky torque to yield bolts.

Sealed joints in question for anyone interested:

I'm not big fan of exposed metal - i doubt that metal ball is made of stainless! Perhaps hard chrome will last. I've used this type before and after while, they start to clank as ball wears out the teflon liner.

Sealed ball joints more closely resemble build of OEM ZLE parts -- IF they fit .

Cool, I agree with you, the exposed sphericals can be a maintenance issue. I have the SPLs but have not installed them yet. I have a set of Seals-it seals on them to help keep the dirt off them, but these are not a perfect solution. And I hope with the seals that the SPL will fit!

Here's a pic of my SPLs with the spacers and seals fully compressed with the measurement. Each Seals-It seal adds about 1.2mm , so 2.4mm total for each spherical ball. So as shipped, SPL ships their toe rods with about a 47.50mm width.
