If you are going to mount something in your trunk....make it count!

Where did you get a paint matched bat? It's totally legal to have a bat in your trunk. People do it every day to go go to play softball.
I love that idea! So, where did you get a paint matched bat? I've looked, but cant find anything like that. Thanks!

Man... the questions people ask sometime.

“ can I have a bat in the car”

How do you think people without concealed weapons permits go to the shooting range.. ? Have the guns delivered?

And lol @ a bat in the trunk anyway

Yesterday I had 6 bats (3 baseball and 3 softball) in my truck. I hope it’s legal

Illegal?? Don't think so. Put your baseball mitt in there as well. Never heard it's illegal to carry sports equipment.

I want to put it here
It's illegal. I worked with an ex LAPD cop. He wasn't a bullshitter so I trust what he told me. If your going to keep a bat in a car, it needs to appear that it was there because you are/were involved in a baseball game. The fact that you custom painted the bat to match your car won't do you any favors should you ever end up in court.

I'm a gun owner, and I know about transporting firearms, and all the laws. This baseball bat law that covers a bunch of other possible weapon items came into being during the fight on street gangs in the 90s.

1) 6 year old thread.

2) You are correct for California, but many of us live in free states. What you post is not correct for the vast majority of the country, to include SC where the OP was.
