Oil pressure all over the place.

While watching videos I noticed oil pressure gauges on 6th gens go wild while under acceleration. Haven’t noticed on mine. But several on YouTube do it. Example

Could just be the delay that the oil pressure gauge has that makes it seem weird.

Epic pull lol. I think the pump has variable pressure capability.....I’ve seen mine change around too. I’m not sure why it intentionally would drop mid-pull, mid gear though.

Mine's a convertible. Limited to only 155.

mine does this at idle during cold temps on a fresh start. anything over say 45-50 psi and the needle just starts bouncing all over. Dealership was going to replace the sensor under warranty but i have not brought it back in.

The variable valve timing requires high oil pressure to shift the cam to the larger lobes.

Has anyone correlated the displayed oil pressure in the IP LCD to OBDII data?
