Easiest trans, but no manual making the Camaro more desirable...for me

Where you thinking of using an LS7.

Pretty sure they bore out an lt1 to 427 amd H/C it. Pretty amazing engine, if I had the means to, I would love that in my ss 1le.

This is kinda a crazy idea but what about using the LT5 and using the alpha AWD and not worry as much about the absolute fastest track car but make a dominant straight line car? Sub 3 sec 0-60 and mid 10’s 1/4.. I know it doesn’t fit with Z28 by any means but the same old formula just adding power seems played out.

That idea is good in general. I imagine a straight line LT5 would be a rwd drag strip car. The Z/28 or Z28 is the rwd sports car. And slide SS to being the awd street 0-60 car, ideally with a stick in the style of the Nissan GTR transmission.

I'm guessing an awd LT5 Z-28 would hit a price over the scope of Camaros. More broadly, if the Camaro separates from the Caddies, to a lower cost, and get co-produced with a Chevy/GMC 60+" tall smallish SUV, that should be next gen. The V8 Camaros support the others from an older-brother effect. My 2 cents; I prefer lower trims.
