I dont know if this is the right forum but did anyone get the spare option? would a 4th gen space saver be the same size as the spare for our 5th gens?

Have the spare and it's an 18 it just fits through the trunk hole. I have the 2lt Rs plus the onstar .you'll have to see if it will clear the battery or mount to it.good luck!!!

you'd need a full size spare to fit over the brembos on your ss...a full size spare I don't think would fit in the spare tire area in the trunk.....hence the compressor....an lt comes with a spare

The olny people that have a spare, or had the option to get one from the factory or dealer....is anyone that has a LS or LT......NO SS ever came with a "donut" as they will not fit because of the brakes, hence all SS owners only got the compressor and the SLIME.

I have 20"and I have a spare .it's not a doughnut tire it's an 18" but the inside of the rim is just as big as my Rs rims.don't know if this helps .I'll pull it out this weekend if some one needs to see it.

I don't think the 18" spare will clear the roller skates up front.
Now that i upgraded to brembos....

Anyone wants to buy mine??

Since you have the SS, there is no spare available (from GM) for your car. And the 4th gen spare won't clear your brake calipers.

Yes I have the $150 spare option. One advantage to LT V6. Not really an advantaage if you have on-star or AAA. :-)

So I'm confused. On my window sticker it said I have a spare tire. I asked about this at the dealer and they told me there was no spare option because there was nowhere for one to go. So instead I have the air compressor.

Now the question, was I supposed to get a tire instead?

I have a 2LT RS with the 20in pollished rims.

What's the determining factor if u get a spare or not for the V6?
