Time Trial SS 1LE "Build" (NASA TT3/Gridlife)

Might as well start one of these journals, I'll update it this winter as I add some stuff to my car and document some of the stuff I've done in the past.

Currently running NASA TT3 and plan on doing some Gridlife events next year. My car is not built specifically for either series as I don't want to do anything permanent yet or add any tune to the car, I want to stay flexible on who I run with.

Car dynoed stock at 415HP (Dyno below)

What affects the laptimes the most are tires and temperature. Best reference times I have for tires are at CMP where I've ran the following in close to idea conditions
1:40.7 (Supercar 3's)
1:39.7 (Hossier R7's)
1:37.5 (Hoosier A7's)

Current mods for TT are
Hoosier A7 tires (NASA), Undecided on Gridlife tires
Girodisc Front rotor rings (OEM Hats)
SPL trailing arms (rear)
BMR toe rod (rear)
18x11 Apex wheels w/ ARP studs + MSI lugnuts, 26mm spacer front
Sparco seat w/ 4 point RSR Studio roll bar
Hawk 60's F/R
Castrol SRF
Mishimoto catch can
Larger air scoops for front brakes
50 lbs extra weight ballast to get 3901 lbs minimum for TT3 (pictured below)

Pending for future:
Corbeau passenger seat
Differential lockout kit - BMR aluminum
Sway bars front/rear (later in the year)

All videos associated with my car including some maintenance stuff and hot laps: https://www.youtube.com/@SpyderRacing/videos

12/21/2023
Front ZLE strut installed
ZLE Suspension control module installed (to clear any issues with removing magride)

01/03/2024
Rear SPL Upper arm + Eccentric Lockout installed
Rear DSSV + ZLE spring installed

Some PhotoDump

Love to see more Camaro guys coming to Gridlife! There is some strong competition in their paddocks.

What class do you plan on running in? I'm assuming street GT with a 200tw tire?

Yes street gt. Gridlife runs really cool coverage of their competitions. Only problem is that streetgt has such a huge price range that it's a little ridiculous. Looks like the best car to have is a C6Z06. But it will still be fun to go out there and compete.

C6Z is for sure the meta in that class. Look forward to seeing you out there.

Nice work so far! Just curious… has your camber been thrown off while tracking?

Yes, usually if I'm sliding on 4 wheels coming out of a corner and I hit a curb it would move the rear alignment off. Coming out of Oak Tree, turn 3 of VIR, and turn 3 at RA. It doesnt move much but my steering wheel will be off center. It only does it to me when I'm running slicks, you have to really be driving hard IMO. I tracked for 1 year on SC3's without any issues.

Concerning the ZLE suspension swap... Am I correct in understanding that when we swap that suspension onto a SS 1LE, we can either swap in a ZLE suspension control module OR the ZLE rear diff control module to keep everything happy?
