2019 gm v8 truck specs released

http://gmauthority.com/blog/2018/04/...ings-revealed/

As many of you know the current l86 motor has the same long block as the lt1. All the internals, head, cam, valvetrain are all part number for part number identical. Not sure if this trend will continue with the new trucks. But the specs were leaked regardless.

L86 (‘14-‘18)= 460ft lbs, 420hp
L87 (‘19+) = 450ftlbs, 425hp. Afm now allows multiple configurations and it will even run on 1 cylinder now, and have start stop.

I think i'm one of the few who actually love the new Silverado. Surprised they went down in torque on the 6.2L and no change on the 5.3L.

Nope it's not. I prefer the looks of the 17-18 Silverado over the 19. Just saying the 2019 truck refresh is the least offensive of the 2.

Basically a Silverado powered at times with a weed wacker.

A 775 cc weed-wacker...

That said...they can shut cylinders down with a single cycle...basically saving fuel one squirt at a time!

Flat road, when all the trans, diff, and transfer case fluids are up to temp (takes a solid 20-30minutes), I’m cruising in v4 getting 22-23mpg at 75mph, done it numerous times for long distances.

Drop torque in a pickup. Boy the hits just keep coming. Im sure you have to get the top model to get the 6.2 again which is crap. Does anyone have pics of the GMC version?
