I did an install and forgot to use the alcohol wipes to clean the tabs so I kind of ruined the original 3M tape went back and found this thread did it exactly how you did it and this thing isn't going anywhere better yet no vibration noise thank you so much!!! First time using Gorilla products I got to say I'm highly impressed!

I kinda want too do this but on fence as i would assume you have basically no visibility out back window but nice guide will use for sure if i go through with this thanks.

I have the matte black strip down the center of my RS, and matte black wheels. Do you think the original finish looks good enough, or should I have them painted matte black? I'm not sure if it's worth it to keep them matte black, but I haven't seen the finish in person.

I think the finish is good enough. I have since taken them off because I hated cleaning the window and the hardware started to rust together. The finish of the ABS plastic is fine though.
