Modified Camaro oil change

Hey guys. I’m going to be performing my own oil change on my 2016 2ss. My only question is, because it is significantly modified is there specific oil I should be using? The car has E-Force s/c, cam with all supporting mods (stock heads) and other common bolt ons.

The latest oil recommended for the LT1 engine in the SS is Mobil 1 0W-40 ESP Formula (Dexos 2)...

that would be for a stock LT1. Sence he has a cam you ned a high ZDDP oil such as Amsoil Zrod 10w30 or Driven LS30.

I should have bought a ZL1

Most Walmarts by me carry Mobil1 FS (European spec for VW and Porsche) which is reasonably priced ($22 FOR A 5qt Jug) and is 1100PPM

IMO once you do things like eliminate the DOD, the needs on the oil is pretty basic. Just need the extra zinc if you are using a aggressive cam.

For break in I ran Valvoline VR1 10w30 conventional for 100 miles, regular 10w30 Valvoline with some Lucas for 500 miles, again for 1000 miles, and then I am not using the M1 FS with Lucas for regular intervals

Vengeance Racing did my cam install (their stage 2, pretty aggressive) and they recommend the Driven LS30 oil so that is what I'll be using. Currently have 2200 miles on the car, oil has been changed 3 times.

Well, I picked up 10qts of the Mobil1 0w-40 "FS" (this is the European spec stuff) that has the 1000ppm zinc & sulfer for $22/5qts at Walmart yesterday.

I see they are now carrying it in the cardboard box for $44 for 14qts.

This oil is on spec for the job, and costs 1/3rd of what some of the boutique oils cost

That Mobil 1 is not Dexos 2 for people that care. I spoke to my service manager friend who contacted someone at tech assist for me about oil. I wanted to know if I could run 5/40 Dexos 2 at the track like I could in my 17 and was told GM changed the oiling system in 2019. Kind of doesn't make sense to me as the owner's manual says that crazy expensive Mobil 1 0-40 Dexos 2 is track/street use, 15/50 (no Dexos designation) for track only, 5/30 Dexos 1 is acceptable for street use. But I can't run a 5/40 Dexos 2 at the track??????
I realize this is about "built" or modified engines, so maybe ya'll know what is different or changed that doesn't need the Dexos approval. I guess the warranty is void at that point, so it doesn't matter anyway.
