Sorry to say this, but I'm somewhat disappointed with camaro owners bashing each other or bragging how their model is "better", or v6 owners feeling they have to "explain" their choice...IMO they are all camaros, period.
My SS is staying stock!! enough is enough. Never heard of a prize being handed out to the guy who changes out all the parts he just paid high dollar for!!
The SS comes with one engine choice...what if there were 302's, 327's, 350's,396's,
427's available for a v8?
Enjoy your car no matter what model you have, and have respect for others and their choice....they are all camaros for pete sake!

I have gotten the v6 crap plenty of times but I frankly don't give a crap. The other day when I was at a local show a cobra guy said even as a v6 it's still bad ass!!!

It sounds like the guy just might have had some legitimate questions to ask about an SS. You yourself said you were going to ask him about his "Party" plates, which he's probably more embarrased about than you with your 6.
Also, most people that arent Camaro Nuts see the RS badge and DO think it's a performance badge.

If you become a slave to what other people think, odds are you will never be happy.

V6 owners who try to justify their purchase are just as bad as SS owners who look down on them.

Just saying.

To each his own.

Now what are cammed SS putting down?
How many S/C SS you see around?
What's a turbo SS putting out?

Oh dear... Not again.

So OP... You should check out the OHIO thread. We don't descriminate. There are plenty in our group with little 6 poppers. I kid I kid. Don't all butt hurt bc someone said they would have got an SS... ask them why they didnt... oh wait bc the lawyer took all their money.

As for the V6 - V8 thing.... it will never stop because the V6 guys keep coming on and complaining about it when someone says anything. If they would just be happy about what they have and move on, no one would bother them. Its the some with anything. Once someone sees what gets under your skin, thats what they use to get a rise out of you. Happens here all the time.

What does this even mean? Wtf does making your v6 something to be proud of instead of whining about, have to do with what a $70k SS running ten seconds?

And if you think a 600hp v6, that hooks up well, won't get in the 10s, your crazy.

And since we are on the subject... Your cammed, what kind of marvilous numbers are you putting down?

I love my V6 with my mods (CAI, MRT Axle Back, Trifecta Tune) I can do burn outs and get over 100mph in the quarter mile. I have plenty of power and good gas mileage. So why get a V8? So I can shave off one second in the quarter? And how often to V8 drivers actually use that extra power. Only if they run it on the drag strip.

I have a daily commute of 30 miles and I always get great compliments on my car. I just tell them the HP and they are impressed and most times agree that the HP with the V8 HP is overkill and would just get you more speeding tickets. Heck most import sports cars are V6's including the Hyundai Genesis. With mods the V6 can hold it's own.
