Some numbers today.

Stock lower pulley (ATI lower but stock zl1 size) and 3 inch upper made the same psi as when I just did the blower swap (15psi) made 781 rwhp ... 80hp more with the cam, 1/4 lid spacer, and snout porting still on the 103mm TB. Still doing 93 tuning but putting on my old 9.2 lingenfelter lower. It should carry me into the 800s easy on 93 on the mustang dyno. If you recall the lingenfelter videos had the package at 850 rwhp on 93 but a dynojet. I'd say it's right on par if not better so far. Just waiting on a belt to show to continue. So far I love the lingenfelter cam idle.

The big gulp as of now.. will test w vararam as soon as he schedules with Sorian..

I think we will set it up with the 103 for now until the reducer shows that goes from 5 inch to 4 3/4 the big gulp came with something to go from 5 inch to 4 1/4 or what ever a 103 TB size is.

We will also test w larger lid spacers to see if it's worth more modifications to the hood.

FYI

Last week we tested the stock box w hi flow filter, CAI elite, and the normal Rotofab on a 2018 zl1 A10 w no mods at all. Here are some findings I think VR w make a large thread w video when he wants to release his product.

This was at England Greens shop..

Stock uncut box hi flow green filter 554 rwhp
CAI Elite 552 rwhp
Rotofab non tune HOOD OPEN 568 rwhp
Rotofab non tune HOOD CLOSED 558 rwhp

Crazy that boost stayed the same. As its just a measure of restriction and your pulley set-up didnt change but added heads, cam, and snout porting. I figured boost would have dropped with all those less restrictions. Should be fun to pour more on it!

Wouldnt get too caught up in comparing to Lingenfelter’s numbers. The dynos are different but its also an auto vs your manual. They didnt dyno in the 1:1 gear (7th in an a10) they dynoed in 6th due to wheel speed. Also note that in real world testing they dont run it hard on 93 only. Its on an ethanol mix when it track races and has trapped a best of 146.

Look forward to when you can take your car out! Been at Sorian’s too long!

It’s impressive all the scenarios you are testing. Many would test the biggest intake, throttle body, largest spacer, and the final crank pulley combo for the most boost, and not have to tune to several different versions that will not ultimately be used. Generally you only see that when people do a round of mods and stop until their budget allows more modifications. You have all these parts now and choose to test each step along the way. I would hate to see your tuning bill. Thanks for sharing!

It does help to have all this stuff ready lol.. we were talking last night about a larger spacer if adds 2 hp it would not make sense to cut more of the hood out but 15 to 20 I'm cutting.

Matt has been great these are new products I'm sure he's curious aswell. No doubt he can benefit from the combos and compare against his other builds to let his customers decide how they want to go.

With the 9.2 on and the correct belt up 24 hp.. on 93 hopefully a coupler will show up tomorrow so by Tuesday or Wednesday can have all the 93 done even with the 112mm TB.

Fyi..
The big gulp came with 5 inch to stock, and 5 inch to 103mm..

I guess a 122 will be out to go from 5 inch to 5 inch soon.

Looks like the even on the 103 setup radiator fan shroud needs to be trimmed for the bend on the CAI.

I was told by edelbrock that the 2650 would fit under a stock 2016 SS Hood? Is this true? Why do I see people cutting their hoods? Thanks

The directions I got said the same thing I think they were for a SS... If you need a definite answer I can ask or you can call ask for Rob Simons or Nicholas Purciello. They seems to be the most knowledgeable. Seeing how my wifes ss has the 2300 and a gm sway bar fits over it.. but in my zl1 with the OEM blower that isnt as tall the sway bar doesn't fit. So maybe the ss has a little more room.

I think if I used the vette lid i probably would not have had to cut. But I want the most power so I'll use the taller lid and a spacer.

Thanks for the info. I'm debating between the 2650 or the whipple. I would rather go the edelbrock route but if it's not going to fit under the hood I'll have to get the whipple. If you could ask the question it would be greatly appreciated.

I had 4 reducers made to go from 5 inch (big gulp) to 4.75 (NW 112mm).. so 3 to sale if any other TBs out there.

No one in USA wanted to help or sale so I went to there source directly.

4 ply silicone 127mm to 120mm or 5 inch to 4.75 inches..

About to get back on it..
