Upcoming Incentives September 2018

Anyone know what incentives will be offered for September 2018?

In Houston we currently have:

Customer Cash $500
Select Market Cash $1000

No discounts for Labor Day and dealers aren't budging on price. Trying to score a Red Hot 1SS 1LE for under $40k drive out.

Also, I see the incentive for 2017s have gone away. Glad I picked up mine when I did.

$36,XXX for a brand new 1LE in the summer is going to be tough. Here in Houston it is always summer, but still.

I was looking the other day and was shocked at the lack of incentives. I think if you wait a little longer when the 19's hit and the 20% deals start coming in you may have a decent shot.

Good luck man, Red Hot is a great color for the 1LE too!

Work with Becky. Got a great deal on my 2SS 1LE through here. She has many 1SS 1LE's in stock.

Call around - some dealers are making deals.

Also, if you currently own a Mustang, ask the dealer about the Chevrolet Conquest Private Offer of $2,000. This is a National Private Offer for customers who currently own or lease a Ford Mustang. It runs through 09/04/2018.

So Close!

Thanks for the good info. An out of state dealer offered $39.5k + TTL but I would have to pay shipping bringing it to $44k. Don't have a Mustang, but I am sure between now an end of year I will have Red Hot 1SS 1LE in my drive way for close to or under $40k, God Willing!

Well, if memory serves, the 20% is typically on their oldest stock on the lot. In years passed many SS's were getting purchased at these large discounts, so i do think some people will be getting these deals yeah.

The key is to find a dealer that orders a lot of the performance cars, and be willing to get a car shipped.

OP - Have you tried Knapp Chevrolet near downtown(I am sure you have as they have a few), or that Chevy Dealer in Sugarland that I think is a forum member here?

I did tell myself if I was ever in the market for a new 1LE, I would try Becky D first.

Got ya. I'll keep this in mind when I finally get to go car shopping these Holidays.

I've been bugging the guys at Knapp on a weekly basis. I'm sure they're sick of me... lol! Becky doesn't have Red Hot 1LE's but does have other colors. Classic Chevy doesn't have Red Hot 1LE's but has good deals on regular SS's.

Do you guys think it's worth getting a new one for $40k or a used 2017/18 (less than 5k miles) for $37k? Three grand is a good chunk of change.

Three grand is a small price to pay to get a brand-new car you can break in properly and treat how you want to from the beginning. You never know how a used car has been treated - especially one that’s the current model year. Did the previous owner break it in properly? Was he disappointed in the car, so he constantly beat on it? Was he the kind of owner who buys new every year, so he doesn’t care about treating the car properly? I wouldn’t take the chance.

For 3K, you buy new. One owner will be worth more when you sell, all else the same. Also, you know how the car was treated during the break-in period.

For an extra $3k it's a no-brainer to buy new.

AFAIK, Knapp has three 1LEs on the lot, including one that’s Red Hot. Do you have access to the GM Supplier or GM Employee discounts? if so, I’d grab the car now; the people who wait until the 1LEs have been sitting on a lot for a year and are hoping for a 20 percent discount will never get one; they’ll all be gone long before then. While the 1LE is not a limited edition, it is a limited production vehicle, and two of the three midwestern Chevy dealers I usually do business with (one is perhaps in the top 25 in the country) haven’t had a 1LE on the lot in months; the other one now has three 1SS ILEs.

The current $500 incentive expires Sept. 4; maybe Chevy will come up with a better deal (like “supplier or employee pricing for everyone”) on Sept. 5.
