Thanks. Also, a new mystery to solve?

Thanks for the welcome hotlap. Nice display Scott. I just opened my box tonight. #1194. One thing that i thought was odd with the Crush Camaro, was that the wheels were different from the actual hotwheels one. Can anyone solve this mystery?

Welcome to the group HW Pumpkin! Some of your pictures look familiar...whereabouts were they taken?

As for the different wheels, I remember someone mentioning about it on our 2018 Hot Wheels facebook group that had been at an event that Al spoke to them regarding. Will have to look back on the post.

How long does it take for the box to arrive? Is that the only way to know what number your build is?

They are still actively shipping the boxes. If you just received your car give it 4 to 6 weeks. Most that have currently received the boxes purchased their vehicles months ago (ours was ordered back in February when orders first were placed). Canada customers will not receive theirs until later (dates unknown currently).

As far as build number/information...we have a member on our Facebook sight that can get that. As well don't forget to ask the dealership where you bought it for your "build sheet", it will provide all the codes for how your vehicle was built & include its build date (aka birthday).

Hot Wheels Spoiler

Do all models of the hot wheels edition camaro have the same spoiler?
Are they shipped with a short spoiler and the dealer puts on the longer spoiler?

With respect to the spoiler on Hot Wheels edition...

Yes, the car comes from the factory to the dealer with the "normal" small spoiler. The Hot Wheels add ons (ie. bigger spoiler and side skirts/ front splitter) are shipped separately and then installed at the dealership.

I asked my dealer to retain the small spoiler and they put it in the car for me. Not sure if I'll ever use it but why not keep it lol !

Yes...on the coupe models. The trunk stripe, spoiler stripe, and decklid stripe will all then be applied. Most dealerships don't do vinyl application...they have s specialist come in or send it out. A good one knows how to align the stripes right...many have been messed up...it really is patience & talent to do it right. If not right...let your dealership know, they need to have it redone no charge.

Convertibles come with their spoiler & stripes factory applied.

Who warranties the Hot Wheel add on's. I have a problem with my right rear deck stripe. I brought it to the dealer close to work for that and the front wiper cowl issue and they wont touch it. There saying it has to go back to the selling dealer. I have no time for that ride.

Go here:

Might be best to call them

1-800-222-1020

What they will do is contact the dealer and work with them to get it done.

Doesn't matter where you bought it, it is a Chevy and any dealer that is associated must perform the warranty work.

These dealerships are really something.

Thank you CamaroSS50 for responding.

18HotWheels-SS. Yes, any dealership should honor warranty work. Problem with strips is most dealerships do not do vinyl. Even then they should have a person in their area that they work with to do Vinyl. Age with CamaroSS50 call Chevy & get them to talk with dealership. You can also ask to talk with the service manager & the general manager to address your experience. As they are losing out on all future service by treating you that way.

If that is the case, maybe GM should not leave it up to the dealers to install. I'm sure they have a good reason why the spoiler needs to be changed and rear stripes installed at the dealership level. But, the incompetence at the dealership I got my Hot Wheels from, all the headaches and time and the end result still being very poor quality, not only soured my opinion of the dealership, but GM as well. From these forums, it appears there were other instances of dealerships not putting the stripes on.
