Btr Intake Manifold

I ordered one of these to try and see if it will produce more power and quicker Ets and mph then my Mamo Msd Intake.
https://briantooleyracing.com/btr-tr...-genv-blk.html
I know that Brett from PP is testing these right now with some promising results

Seems like a poor choice for a mild bolt-on car. It's designed for 6000-8500rpm. I know a local car made 640whp NA on a hub dyno with this intake but it was a max effort build. 13.5:1 377 with GPI track cam and heads.

the intake runner supplied with the manifold is about 100mm. i had every intention to test it against my mamo ported msd until i slapped a tape measure on it. i bought it under the impression btr was going to release more runner options.

We'll see how it acts on the dyno soon. May not work but I plan on doing cam and port the heads/intake this this winter so I think it will be better suited for that application. Hey, you never know till you try one, Brett has his data on his facebook page. The Msd works at the higher rpm also and I'm using the Ported Mamo on my car now. I don't know how it will work out but we will find out soon. May be a flop, may be killer. If it doesn't slow it down then I'll be happy and it looks awesome. Seems like it flowed 364 cfm but don't remember exactly. Check it out on his facebook

Wait bad choices? Jeezzz King your sounding like my wife of 48 years. Let me start here, 75 cars and trucks, 8 boats, 5 watercraft and 5 motorcycles. Maybe some bad choices, I'd say so and the hits keep coming. Could be living in a 2 million dollar house but I'm stuck in a 400k house with a big shop and still having fun and I wouldn't be happy there. I won't stop till I take my last shit and at almost 70 that could be at anytime.

Max effort or a big cube street motor would be the way to go..

On a stock(ish) street motor and I'd take a pass as well.

Hey, I have my back up MSD if it doesn't pan out plus I still have my stock intake I can have ported so no big deal, just a little work for me. I may have my porting guy through it on his bench to see what changes he could make before I install it. We had to do a lot of tuning to get the MSD to perform even with the ported stock intake. It lost all the way thru the 1/8 on my first time out but kept making slight changes in timing, fuel and rpm shifting and it ran as fast in the heat as it did in the good air on the ported lt1.

Honestly if you’re not doing a max effort or big cube type build, it’s not worth it IMO. Runners are shorter than the hi ram and the hub dyno usually reads higher if I remember right and wasn’t compared to any other intake on that car.

I guess we'll find out pretty soon, I'll get it on the car and do some tuning on the dyno and I have a race at the end of the month. Like I said if it runs as fast as the MSD then I'll be happy since it looks way cooler then the MSD.

I have seen the data...and it's only as good as the combination as a whole. A intake manifold as such needs a lot more cam, rpm, and a big stall converter to perform at it's potential. Those kind of combos typically don't drive "Nice" on the street. So now you are back to where you were with the Camaro. If that is what you want then great, but that isn't what you said the last time we talked. The "Vette" will remain bolt on only he said....LOL!

Just received it, it didn't have provisions for the evap on the side of the manifold and I stand corrected it is more for a bigger build and needs to have some changes I'm not making for a street car. They are sending a return label. All good, ole dumb ass strikes again. Guess I should have put a blower on it when it was offered to me a while back.
