1k fueling

I've learned a lot since joining thanks to y'all and I'm about ready to get back around to my probably 2 yr build. Weekend driver ~5100-5200lb race weight '16 4WD RCSB GMC. Have to track it for my business advertising. I'm not supercharged as most here but have my twin kit from TrickTurbo in hand and ready to install. It will likely end up with my 6.2 although I have considered my 5.3. I want to make sure I'm understanding what I think I know. I originally had figured I'd go with Crawford PI to supplement my DI.

Pretty sure I'm going E85 because I don't want to risk meth for fueling. I'm not opposed to just use it as insurance but not be dependent on it. I recently have thought more about just keeping it DI for the low end torque benefits and simplicity of one controller. I am not going to spend 4800 for the XDI hpfp but I could see +30's (+65's are pricey) and LT4 hpfp or even LPE Big Bore along with a 38% lobe. What would you do to not be on the edge all thing considered cost vs. benefit? I likely won't push it past 9-950 but would like the capability of 1k wheel. Remember, turbos not Blown. Thanks guys!

If I could go back and do mine over again.

Fore intank pumps/controller
Crawford port injection.

Leave the factory injectors and hpfp.

+30 injectors, LPE DI pump, bigger fuel lobe, and a Aux low side should support 1000whp on E60. Not sure about full E85.

If you are ok with moving to a Secondary system I agree with Choda. Crawford PI system looks to be a really good solution. You have to tune 2 ECU's with it however.

Fore in tank triple pump, camshaft with 38% lobe, 30% injectors and a big bore high side will get you to the 1k mark. I am at 877RWHP with all of the above except that I couldnt wait the 8 weeks for the big bore high side so I stuck with the stock ZL1 high side. I am running E60, tuner told me your not gonna make much more power with more E than 60-65%, no meth!

If I were starting from scratch I would build a kit with no intercooler and do pi meth. Not a meth kit but a full 2nd fuel system. An ecm, a 5 gallon cell, large meth rated fuel pump and meth rated injectors. Wouldn’t touch any of the factory di stuff or intank pump and keep running pump gas.

Not saying you should do that. Just sounds like fun.

If going over 800 rwhp on e85, just skip the bullshit and go port.

unless you really want to try the straight GDI route...... in which I have a set of Lingenfelter 42% injectors for sale. lol.

Thanks gentlemen I'm starting to price things out now to compare. I called my tuner, AMP and asked some questions and also Joel from another shop who is going to be building much of it. He has a 6.2/8spd TT RCSB with Armageddon setup. Want to go for a ride soon.

PM sent. Apparently there is a character limit to how many zero's you can have in a post, but not in a PM.

I went with the Crawford Racing port injection and now have enough fuel for 1400 on E85. My tuner said it wasn't that hard to tune and I have a video of him tuning it and explaining it if you'd be interested in watching it.

I would definitely recommend it and Chris is a great guy to do business with. He answered all of my questions about the system and sent me the files my tuner needed, I even had to send the harness back for him to add boost control and he took care of it very quickly. Here is my tuner's video tuning my car with it.

Here is the street tuning video if you're interested in that one.

Thanks I actually remember seeing that now. Loved it! After speaking with my tuner and my builder yesterday I think I am leaning towards this now. Tuner did say either single or dual band would be fine but get boost control and map sensor from CR. Is yours single or dual band. Thoughts?
