Aeroforce vs P3 gauge

I am looking to get a display/gauge to show OBD2 values/PID's.

The P3 gauge has a really nice gauge mount and seems to be nicely intergrated onto the interior. the Aeroforce has a nice defrost vent pod gauge that looks nice too. Both are about the same price once you add the mounting device.

But which one is more capable, and will show more PID's?

Opinions from people who have them is appreciated.

Thx

I have the dual aeroforce gauges and love them in the vent pod. It can record your data and play it back if that's your thing and can read out anything in the ecm. I'm not sure on the P3. I like having multiple things displayed at once.

How many parameters can be displayed at once?

Where do you get the gauge that has ZL1 on it?

I chose the Aeroforce because it can display two parameters at the same time.

I have the P3 gauge myself. It’s a very nice piece that is very clean installed. It would be nice if it had more PIDs, but it serves its purpose for me. It can display coolant temp, IAT1, IAT2, boost, throttle position, ignition timing, speed, and 0-60 timing. I usually have it set to coolant temp, as the built in “gauge” is a joke.

I use the Aeroforce defrost vent pod to mount my PLX wideband gauge. Between that and the P3 setup, I have everything I really need. I just break out the laptop if I need real data.

So the Aeroforce gauge can read all available generic PIDs in the PCM, but the P3 cant? It can only read the ones above (coolant temp, IAT1, IAT2, boost, throttle position, ignition timing, speed)??

Well if that's true it seems like the Aeroforce is the better option even though the mounting is not quite as good, but still a very good pod mount.

Yeah, pretty much. The P3 might have a couple more PIDs I missed, but that’s about it. The Aeroforce has many more, with the downside of looking like a 1990’s Game Boy display. At least in my opinion.

I guess it depends on what you want to monitor or prioritize. I have my big, bright PLX lambda gauge in that Aeroforce mount up at eye level. The P3 can then discreetly display other data down low. Keeping things clean and low key was a priority of mine though.

If you have a flex fuel ethanol sensor will the aeroforce show ethanol percent if the tune is modified to enable flexfuel capability? You can see ethanol content on hp tuners data log.

Yes. with the aeroforce you can see the value from the sensor through the ECM. I am doing it.

How does the vent pod mount? Possibly a dumb question but I assume its not permanent and once removed there is no evidence of it ever being installed?

Any pictures of the vent mounting up close? Just need a little further education.

I would like to be able to do this. Can you post a sample of what it looks like?

I have the aeroforce I didn’t want to loose functionality of the air vent. It looks awesome and shows completely everything.

This install looks clean and I like the idea of keeping the vent functional. Is that face color black or glossy black?

Also, is the vent permanently modified for mounting?
