Katech ported throttle body throwing codes
UPDATE
I got my replacement Throttle body and it works perfect. Car sounds like it is sucking in more air. No butt dyno so I won't say any type of gains. I do notice a little better throttle response. So i got my Katech ported throttle body today and i install it. I turn the car on and it runs like shit. Throws 2 engine codes P0123 and P0222. It also says in car that performance reduced. I take it off and put the original back on. Runs great but now i got 2 codes that wont clear. What is going on? I didnt disconnect the battery when i installed it.

The TB motor is TOAST. Been there, done that. You can try something if you want. It did not work for me but it was something I found with some digging awhile back that worked for some guys with the C7 and C6 vettes
Unplug throttle body IGNITION on (do not turn the car on) Sit 2 Minutes IGNITION OFF Sit 2 Minutes Disconnect battery Plug back in TB Reconnect battery IGNITION ON 2 Minutes IGNITION OFF 2 Minutes Start the car and then just let it idle there for 5 minutes. Tunn the AC on, let it idle for another 5 minutes. Do you have HPT? If so it can be very usefull in reading throttle position. The codes your getting are basically saying, hey the blade is open this much but it should be open XX amount according to the computer and the differential is too high. |

OP This can happen, return the TB. It happened to me. I had to get a hold of another TB and switch the parts around. Working fine now.

The code seems to have cleared
This is most likely not Katech's fault. These come new and if their is bad run only the Manufacturer is to blame Will see how Katech handles this.

Also, supposed to change the gasket every time. Not reusable, even though it is silicone.

There is nothing wrong with the Katech. They are brand new and there was a bad run. Jason from Katech took care of everything.
