Camaro LT1 Vengeance Racing dyno numbers

Just got my 2021 Camaro LT1 M6 dyno tuned at Vengeance Racing and wanted to share the results. It has an LT2 intake, rotofab cai, e85 sensor, and borla s-type axle back exhaust. Red is 93 tune and blue is e85 tune.

Those numbers look good, did they dyno the car before the mods?

No, unfortunately they didn’t do a baseline. I wonder how much it picked up from the intake manifold and cold air intake. I’m very happy with the results though. Next up long tube headers. This was also done with close to 95% humidity and it was around 80 degrees.

My guess would be the car was probably right around 400-410 hp and torque stock and the combination of rotofab cai and lt2 intake manifold added 30-40 hp and torque. E85 added another 25 which I was really surprised about. It was only about 53% ethanol content since there was still some 93 octane in the tank after the previous tune. Might have been a full 30 hp gain with full e85. If you’re looking for good power adders for the money I highly recommend the LT2 intake and rotofab cai with e85. ~60 hp and tq for ~$1000 in parts.

Wow, those are great #s, I have a 2021 LT1 10 speed, LT2 intake, stock air box, borla s axle back, E85, Mine did 420 on 93, 440 on e70. I realize the manuals will make more RWHP, but I didnt realize that much. The CAI is worth what 10hp max?.

Yeah the rotofab is probably 5-10 hp max. I think the manuals do make about 20 rwhp more than the autos from all the dynos I’ve seen. I’m surprised by the results too. You’d probably still have me in a race though. The 10 speeds shift so fast and you’re always in the power band.

Good to know , thank you for that. I guess the manuals put down a good 3% or 4% more to the ground than the power robbing auto trans cars. They should generally trap a higher MPH than a auto trans car, but like you say the auto trans cars will have a better ET and win the 1/4 mile race.

I’m hoping by adding headers and getting the ethanol closer to 85 I’ll be at 500 rwhp. I’ll definitely post the new dyno once I get those installed. Vengeance racing did a great job and highly recommend them!

Keep in mind they used STD correction factor which inflates numbers about 4% over SAE, which I believe most shops consider the “gold standard”. Still good numbers obviously, but 4% is nearly 20 extra HP over a shop that uses SAE...

Thanks for the info. Does that mean they increased the numbers based on atmospheric conditions or something? All I remember is he said the rollers were weighted to be the same as riding on the highway.

Wait, your car was run on a different dyno, and possibly a different correction factor was used as well. His numbers and your numbers are NOT comparable whatsoever. Plus neither of you have baselines, so the real information that comes from a dyno, namely the change resulting from the mods, is not available either.

It just means the numbers are reading higher than what most other dyno operators would use.

Like wnta1ss said, really can't accurately compare to other dyno runs from other dynos, days, etc.

Great numbers man. Glad to see you got that exhaust installed. Once you get the headers on it will be very loud!!!
