First time...

Hey guys - this is my first time posting, but have been a long-time Camaro owner, starting with the first one I bought by myself when I was 21 fresh out of college.

It was a 1991 Z28 in, if I recall correctly, Forest Green. After that, I purchased a 1998 Z28 that I had for close to 10 years as my daily driver.

Fast forward 12 years, and I recently picked this up after looking for one for about a year. This is a picture from when I picked it up from the dealer about 6 months ago. It's a 2020 SS.

Now to my question - I want to do an axel-back exhaust on this and have been looking at Borla, Corsa, and MBRP - and I was just curious if there were any specific recommendations. I have an MBRP on my truck and am happy with it for the most part, but it drones a bit when I am driving down the highway. I don't have experience with any other aftermarket exhaust systems, so looking for some recommendations here that would allow me to keep the NPP values.

Thanks for any feedback.

Brian

I went with MBRP axle back in black. Good price and they're BLACK. No more dirty chrome tips. Zero drone

I went with an AWE track edition. Absolutely amazing, and obnoxiously loud... LOL

I’m happy with my borla stype, not cheap but allowed me to keep the valve function. Black tips look great, I’d recommend it

It seems like any of the exhausts with the NPPs are about 600-700 more expensive than without.

I'm have been looking at the Borla atak; but it's really hard to tell exactly how loud they are and I don't know anyone around here that has one so I can hear it in person.

so I'm comparison to the stock exhaust in track mode, how does the s-type sounds then vs. the atak if you have the valves open? Is it like 5x louder, or 2x or what? Any thoughts?

Thanks

Congrats on the new Camaro! The Atak has bit of a higher pitch to the exhaust note, while S-Type is a lower rumble, kinda old school sound. While both sound great, all depends on what you like, they are about 3-5 times louder than stock. I had the Atak on my 2017 and it sounded awesome, either way, it's a win!

Hoping on the Borla S-Type train. IMO it’s really the sweet spot of being not too loud or too obnoxious. Just a nice deep growl with no drone or rasp!

Thanks for all the feedback, I ordered the Borla S-Type with NPP on it earlier today. When I get and install it, I will upload a before and after when the track exhaust / touring exhaust mode on.

Looking forward to it!
