I thought about that. 304 3" full catback for 5th gens still 1200 right now. Still does not explain why 6th gens are 18,19,2000+?

mbrp. 304. 3". Real bolt on catback. Not this cut into pipes and call it a bolt on catback stuff. Also the MBRP sounded AMAZING.

Again. If the 5th gen is less than 1k new why does a 6th gen cost over 2k?

Magnaflow axleback is under $800

Very good quality. Sounds amazing. Has a little resonance on highway cruise in 6th at slower speeds and under decell around 2K.
No NPP. 6 speed. Convertible.

I also added dynamat in the trunk area which cut down the unwanted resonance a lot.
Almost made it too quiet. But with top open you
Can always hear it. But can also still hold a conversation with your spouse.

You’re going to have to compare the same brand. Looking on MBRP’s site, there are no cat backs listed that are even over $1500 for the 6th gen. Go look at Juiced Motorsport’s website. All the MBRP exhausts listed there are $1200 or less, plus Juiced will give you a tasty discount. Not only that, the 6th gen systems utilize j-pipes, which should be specifically tuned to each model to reduce drone, so that’s much more R&D cost there than just slapping a muffle on the pipe.

As far as using 409 steel, well, I’m sure they had their reasons. Cost savings being one. And don’t whine about cutting the exhaust. It’s not the exhaust company’s fault GM set up the stock exhaust that way.

So yeah, take your socialist BS elsewhere.

You can compare 409 to 409. its still a good bit more. Nothing you have said comes close to addressing the point.

Also, who is talking about socialism you disrespectful asshole? You can take your triggered whining and go somewhere else.

Then you just aren’t listening. Look at Juiced’s site. MBRP T409 catbacks are only $2-300 more going to 5th to 6th gen. That’s with the 6th gen system having a tuned j-pipe system and 2 more tips. That’s all R&D and material cost.

Why are you comparing a bargain tier exhaust company to someone like say CORSA or Borla? That’s being misleading.

It's just the new platform right now and everything will be more, I can build a 9 seconds 4th gen for about $10,000 now because everything is so cheap. My friend bought an MBRP catback for his 6th gen and it was only $700 or $800 can't remember. I however paid Right at $2000 for my AWE catback but I liked the sound of it a lot more than the others.

My Borla non-npp axleback was $730 shipped back in April and it sounds insane.
