groaning noise coming from rear

2022 2ss 1le 6m
when accelerating in low rpm like between there is this moaning noise coming from what sounds like the back right. this happens in 2nd when accelerating,in 4th around 21 mph or in 5th or 6th when cruising.

I am not sure what it is but it is annoying. any input on what it might be would be helpful I think its the differential. I am not sure but i think i hear it more with the active rev match on

If you can get the rear up and access to the diff pull the fill plug and stick your straight finger in the hole, (don't curve your finger downwarf) you should have some fluid on your finger when you pull it out. If you do that and your finger comes out dry, you have a problem and need to drain and refill with the spec fluid, at the very least. There's little to no reason for the fluid to be low as it's not consumed in any way, it would have to have been serviced wrong to begin with.

That or the hub bearings.

It's normal for the limited slip to make some groaning noise, but only during sharp turns or when backing up.

As for checking the fluid level? If you don't see any signs of leakage, no need to check the level.
