Did all 2019 Camaros have A10?
I'm working on a swap for a build I'm doing. The seller claims its a 2019 Camaro drivetrain but he says its a A8. I'm trying to figure out if he wrong on the year. I have the part number for the trans but can't figure out how to look it up without the vin.

The SS got the A10 in 2019, but not the lower trims, they remained on the A8 for years, as GM is phasing out the A8 very slowly, pushing it down the trim ladder. Even the latest 2023 2-liter four banger came with the A8, then the LTG engine was discontinued for 2024 and that has been the end of the A8 in the Camaro.

The eight-digit number on the tag indicates its from a 2016 or 17 SS not a 2019. The guy is forsure confused on what he has. Then he messaged me and said engine/trans was out of a 2018, my GM dealer said its a 2016/17.
