Finally, the cat is out. Hope everyone who has one on order finds a vehicle or get an allocation.

January 2024 for a predicted final build date seems like a very short production run for 2024 models.

This makes me sad... but I was sad in 2002 the first time they stopped production.

Yes, about 5 or 6 months of '24 production!

One small glimmer of hope, it doesn't say the Camaro will retire in 2024, it says the 6th Gen Camaro will retire in 2024. Maybe something, maybe nothing.

“As we prepare to say goodbye to the current generation Camaro, it is difficult to overstate our gratitude to every Camaro customer, Camaro assembly line employee and race fan,” said Scott Bell, vice president, Global Chevrolet. “While we are not announcing an immediate successor today, rest assured, this is not the end of Camaro’s story.”

Just another generation retired at some point in the future maybe with a new administration the all electric phase will once again go to the wayside and R&D and production will once again start on yet another performance model line or 7th gen camaro line. The need for performance vehicles and/or modifying things to go faster or customize to your taste is alive and well & will never die.

Personally I'm 100% anti all electric anything guy but I would be super interested in a 7th gen camaro that had a V8 power plant RWD with electric assisted FWD for a truly unique AWD performance experience. Probably out in left field with that outlook but to each his own opinion I think it'd be a killer concept. As long as they make parts for my Gen 6 I'll be a happy camper absolutely love my Gen 6.

Oh for sure, the E-Ray is absolutely amazing and that would be the Corvette I would own right now if I could actually get my hands on one. A Camaro version of the E-Ray would be awesome.

I disagree. Even if the admin changes over to a less environmentally friendly one, there are already tons of Americans who love their EVs. This change is here to stay, and I think as tech progresses in this field, the cars will only get better and cheaper. I love our Tesla, not as much as the zl1 or rs3, but that is only because I've always been a muscle car guy and for me, the sound and feeling from ICE motors is preferable. However, the Tesla is truly amazing for what it is, and I can see why regular Joe's have fallen in love with them. There are many more Americans who value tech and driving ease/comfort, than there are guys like us who want a more visceral daily driving experience with our loud and brutish muscle machines.

I do agree about the e-ray thing - combining the two into one package may yield truly awesome performance. I would definitely consider buying one, but I'm sure they'll be selling for way over MSRP

At least there’s a 1000 hp Demon being offered as a farewell to the ICE. I don’t think Chevy will offer more than maybe a sticker and badge package for the Camaro’s farewell
