Hi DamonZ28, take a second look. I believe that Nash is an Amphacar!
Either way it pales in comparison, Great looking ZL1 vert!!!

I am new here and about to be a first time Camaro owner.

I had been wanting (more like lusting after) a Riverside Blue ZL1 convertible for a few years. Sometimes you see a car and it leaves a lasting impression that you just can't shake...the only option I required was a 6 speed manual.

I finally placed an order for a 2023 model in July 2022.

2023 is a big year for me (I turn 50, my business turns 25, and it's my 10 year marriage anniversary) and I plan to keep this car until they tell me I'm too old to drive.

The order has been sitting at 3000 level for months. I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen.

While daydreaming and looking at the order sheet on Chevrolet's website, I decided to check and see if any other dealers had something similar...and I found one in Iowa.

So, I bought the one in Iowa and cancelled my order.

After 49 years, I finally have a reason to go to Iowa.
Looks great , couple of questions

1. Can you track your order on chevy website

2. Is the front hood insert carbon fiber or gloss black ?

my 7 year old loves it more than I do

he sat in it and did his homework last night.

he wants to sleep in it tonight. No.

After 2 years of dreaming, hoping, and a lot of patience, I finally have my dream car safe at home.

It looks damn sexy in my garage.

If you've placed an order for a new car, it hasn't started being built, and you are in limbo, check around and see what has already been built. Maybe your car is sitting in a dealer's showroom waiting to be found.

Thanks for all the kind words

...my mind is at ease.

thanks Boss.

1. I never had a build 'number' or code. I just followed up with the dealer once a month. I have seen a thread around here where someone has access to build status if you provide the 'number' or code.

2. This car has the gloss black hood. I might buy an OE CF hood one day, either as a replacement or just to have for the future. I'm sure they are going to be very expensive one day.

My car came with the black/CF gas cap which was supposed to be installed by the dealer but was not. I have the cap and it comes with instructions, but when it comes to cars, I'm not a DIYer, and I don't want to mess it up. I'm sure I'll pay someone to do it.

thank you

Your car is beautiful. Red would be my second choice.

I've only driven 10-20 miles so far but it really feels like you're wearing this car vs. driving it.

My wife's CX-9 feels like a delivery van now

Thats good to know as i just ordered my ZL1 coupe and did not opt for the carbon fiber hood and was wanting to have it in gloss black as i am not a fan of carbon fiber anyways

First impressions...

This car is awesome, and I haven't gone past 3k rpms

The rev matching is totally sick.

The rips and pops in Track mode sound heavenly...no upgrades necessary

Nice car! I agree, this platform doesn't NEED mods. It's just fine bone stock not to mention it'll be worth more if you leave it alone vs if you mod it(see the big auctions) Stock cars go for way more money than modded cars. To each their own of course, but I'm leaving mine alone.

Beautiful car. The front looks a little high. Double check that the dealer removed the orange front spring spacers… Mine were still in when I picked up my 2023, I can’t believe dealers are still missing these.
