Walkinshaw exhaust ... thoughts ?
Hello all.
Down under 2019 ZL1 owner here. Desperately trying to decide on an exhaust to get that drone free low rumble, even just cruising. Not a fan of the raspy track sound and will probably settle on a cat back system that maintains the npp. (Would love any suggestions here, and I have read all the forums, it’s just difficult to pick a setup.) To complicate things I didn’t really want to do the headers or the price of this system but I came across it from an Australian producer and was wondering if anyone had seen, used, compared it. I think it looks nicer than anything I have seen and sounds pretty damn good, albeit, on the end of an iPhone. https://formulatech.com.au/zl1-ss-full-exhaust/ https://m.facebook.com/WalkinshawPer...0276618107424/ https://m.facebook.com/WalkinshawPer...8170082453669/ Please convince me to get something that doesn’t change the headers or cost this much |

Just add a couple resonators behind the stock exhaust. It makes a big difference and sounds great with headers.

That's an insane amount of money to spend on a cat back. I have the flow master american thunder exhaust that has valves ,sounds great,no drone and affordable.

Right, consider 2k for headers and the same for an NPP exhaust. It is not that far out of line considering the billet bits

Any way you slice it, thats still some pretty decent coin, nice system or not. Between an upgraded exhaust, PPF and ceramic coat, you could be +8K deep. Heck, thats more than 10% of the vehicle MSRP....wowza.
Admittedly, that’s a nice looking system. I guess I’m just a cheapskate. |
